Key responsibilities:
 
Financial Management and Contract Optimisation  
  • Manage incoming specific requests until client signature and facilitate hand-over to the Project Management team.
  • Optimise the utilisation of contracts (business development & management) by effectively addressing client requests and proactively developing opportunities with clients. 
  • Manage the financial aspects of client contracts, ensuring that budgets are adhered to and identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Provide regular updates to financial controllers and management, including analysis of margins, forecasting, and tracking of profitability. 
  • Lead large-scale negotiations with subcontractors and partners, focusing on discussions around potential partnerships.
  • Continuously seek ways to optimise projects costs without compromising quality.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to margins and project success, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Client and partners relationship management
  • Address important discussions with clients and partners, including contract adjustments.
  • Manage consortia, explore cooperative paths, address quality issues, and take responsibility for contractual matters.
  • Initiate and cultivate long-term relationships with clients (including Contracting Authorities and officials).
Team Mentoring and Support
  • Provide mentorship to team members, helping them develop their expertise and ensuring smooth project execution. 
  • Lead by example, promoting collaboration, accountability, and a positive team environment.
Business Development
  • Collaborate with the Business Development and Services teams on tenders, validate financial proposals, and explore new business opportunities.
  • Share insights and best practices to enhance future projects and propose new product ideas.



A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in account management, ideally within the EU institutional environment.
  • Proven track record in managing EU-funded communication campaigns or projects.
  • Strong understanding of EU policies, institutions, and communication priorities.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with experience in client management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional EU languages is a plus.
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media strategies, and event organisation is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and reporting standards for EU contracts.
